Open Call for Online Comics

We've had such a fantastic response from people wanting to be involved in the project that, in addition to the printed comic, we'll be inviting people (any age, any level of artistic skill) to draw their own science comics to be shared on our website.  This open call is free to enter, unpaid, and with minimal editorial control: so long as it's not offensive or otherwise wildly unsuitable for a family audience, we'll publish it online and credit you.  If you want to take part in this open call you'll be more than welcome.

How does the open call work?  I'm glad you asked!

1. Read the attached PDF to find out what the Newcastle Science Comic open call is all about.
2. Read the editorial guidelines.  We won’t edit your comic but we will reject any comics that are wildly inappropriate for 8-13year olds.
3. Start making your science comic. 
4. Get in touch with our editors if you have any questions specific to your comic.
5. Email your finished comic to newcastlesciencecomic+web@gmail.com.
6. Tell us if your comic is science FACT or science FICTION.
7. Look forward to hearing from our editors when your science comic is published online.
